Kasra ceremony

[12:14]  Godric: tell them crying babies to hush
[12:14]  Lucias thinks for a moment.
[12:14]  Godric: now, come, I think I know where they are hiding
[12:14]  Lucias: This way kutai.
[12:16]  Lucias walks down the hill towards galahad "I have brought the haruspex"
[12:16]  Kutai recognizes the Lady Branwyn "Tal Branwyn, we could have travelled together, i come from Torvaldsland now"
[12:18]  Branwyn looks to the man she has seen before and nods to him quietly before returning to her meditation, awaiting the call of Galahad to begin.
[12:18]  Sylvia leans into Gal and whispers "Where is my father?"
[12:18]  Lucias turns to look at kutaituchik "I will leave you to your preperations, anything you recquire, simply ask for." he inclines his head and looks to galahad "As far as I can see"
[12:18]  Godric mutters.. 'you need to provide a map at the gate to visitors Galahad!'
[12:18]  Galahad shouts: "This dediation to Odin is done with the view to establishing a culture of tolerance and acceptance in Tyros of the great traditions of all of Gor. The diversity of people and their beliefs will be honoured here from this day forth as we erect here a shrine to Odin, Great God of Torvaldsland. Then to the ancestry and traditions of the Plains people as a pledge I made to the father of my companion to keep a piece of the sky and the plains set aside for her and her culture."
[12:18]  Sylvia eyes widen hearing his voice she nods
[12:19]  Branwyn stands quietly, her silver grey curls loose around her lined and aging face, the white robes of her order stitched with blood red runes, her gnarled hand is clasped upon the distaff on which she leans. She moves and the staff shifts, setting the bones rattling against the nobbed staff, she sets the distaff aside.
[12:19]  Lucias covers one hear, feeling galahads voice echo into it. He stands to one side on the grass and watches quietly.
[12:20]  Godric listens.. and watchs
[12:20]  Branwyn she raises her head high throwing back the tangled mess of curls and throws her arms up, the sun glints off the gold bands that encircle her wrists and arms, she was a large woman, stout and strong and tall in the manner of Torvaldsland women, layers of beads set upon her robe proclaiming her a companioned women of wealth in her lands.
[12:21]  Branwyn: Hail to the Lands of Tyros! I am Branwyn Katrinasdottir, Companion to the Bane of Ironhall and High Priestess to the Gods of Torvaldsland. Hail Odin! Hail Thor! And Mighty Tyr!
[12:21]  Kutaituchik feels the togetherness of the present Goreans in their believes in Gods, Priestkings and Open sky alike, All coming from the earth and grass of the homestone planet Gor
[12:21]  Branwyn: I stand this day upon the vast lands of Tyros at the bequest of Galahad Ubar of Tyros, a man who is kith to me and mine. I come to honor him and to serve here as he has asked, for such is the demands of my service to the gods of my people.
[12:22]  Branwyn lowers her arms and rests her hand on the worn and aged hammer at her side, unlooping it and pulling it into her hand, holding it easily in her strong curled hands, she looks to Galahad, “Do you bring the blood of sacrifice so that we may anoint this temple and dedicate it to the gods of your youth?”
[12:22]  Karma: smiles brightly listening to Dear Lady Speak
[12:23]  Galahad: He turned to her and raised the great jeweled horn. He walked and handed it to her his head lowered.
[12:24]  Branwyn takes the horn in her other hand, and clutches it against her body and the white robes, with no regard for any spill of the blood and looks again out to the crowd, “On this day, by blood and by rite, by oath and by hammer, we shall dedicate to the gods this temple. By the will of Galahad, and by the hand of my order, so shall it be done.”
[12:24]  RoseareRed: sees my mistress and smiles
[12:25]  Branwyn steps into the temple setting down the horn of blood in an iron holder and turns to the east
[12:25]  Spencer smiles at no one, a bit on the uncomfortable side...
[12:25]  Branwyn holds the hammer gripped in her strong gnarled hands, she raises the hammer to her head, and pausing, then she brings the heavy tool of her order to her chest and pauses, then to her right shoulder, then her left as she calls out in her deep voice, “Hammer of Thor, Hammer to the East, Hallow and Hold This Holy Stead.”
[12:26]  Branwyn turns to the south, and repeats the hammer rite. As she moves the obvious weight of her age begins to fall away from her, and her good eye seems to sparkle, “Hammer of Thor, Hammer to the South, Hallow and Hold This Holy Stead.”
[12:27]  Branwyn turns to the west, her movements now strong and purposeful and her voice booms out echoing along the hills and valleys of the land, “Hammer of Thor, Hammer to the West, Hallow and Hold This Holy Stead.”
[12:28]  Branwyn turns to the north, her silver grey hair streaming behind her as her smile of Joy encompasses those who stand near, she repeats the hammer invocation again, and calls out, “Hammer of Thor, Hammer to the West, Hallow and Hold This Holy Stead.”
[12:28]  Branwyn turns back again facing the fire, as her gaze encircles those around her, and for the last time she repeats the hammer position, and calls out, her voice now filled with triumph as the circle is rendered sacred and holy, “Hammer of Thor, Hammer to the Center, Hallow and Hold This Holy Stead.”
[12:29]  Branwyn with that she makes a movement of her hands, thumb and fingers seem to flick outward, and a low murmured call is made, and the fire at her feet bursts into light, it is unclear if this is the power of the runes, or perhaps some more mundane answer as to how the fire came so quickly.
[12:29]  Electra: Greetings, Masters
[12:29]  Branwyn looping her hammer back on her wide belt of pouches and keys, she picks up the horn of blood and calls out, “Come those would come, stay those who would stay! Harmless to me and mine! Around me and within me Asgard and Midgaard! May kindly wrights of worlds all nine this gathering protect from harm, good food with mirth and friendship bring, for wholesomeness and health. May all who sojourn wisdom win, may fair things freely grow. May joy and laughter, frith and love, this celebration’s hallmarks be.”
[12:29]  Electra: Greetings, Mistresses
[12:30]  Galahad: he tapped the girl to silence
[12:31]  Harvey: worrisome wights wend away
[12:31]  Godric frowns as he follows the ceremony
[12:31]  Branwyn she steps to the stone where the image of Odin and the runes are carved, the stone appears to be freshly made, the dust of the chisel still upon it, and putting her fingers into the horn kneels down and begins to paint a binding rune on the floor of the temple.
[12:32]  Galahad: Turned once more to the crowd and with a look, Commanded SILENCE
[12:32]  Branwyn she draws on the stone floor a star pattern pointing directly at the stone. Then caps the top line pointing towards the High Seat with the triple tiwaz rune for Tyr.
[12:33]  Branwyn marking the bottom point, she makes the Ansuz rune to Odin, evoking insight and communication. On the right line she makes the rune Algiz, for protection, the shield and to ward off evil.
[12:33]  Branwyn to the left she adds Eihwaz, the yew tree, for strength and dependability and defense, invoking the softer intention of purpose. Upon the cross line, that sits on the shoulder of the right line, she marks the Thurisaz, the rune of Thor, the Thunder god, invoking will, male sexuality and the directed force of defense.
[12:34]  Branwyn and last on the left bottom cross mark, she places Nauthiz, for need, the bended knee of the invocation that calls forth on resistance the leads to strengh and innovation.
[12:35]  Branwyn again she dips her fingers into the sacrificial blood and lays her hand upon the standing stone directly, painting over the runes and calls out, "Hail Odin! Husband of Frigg. All-father. Father of battle. One-eyed god. Many-shaped. Wanderer. Hanged god. Raven god. Spear-thruster. Wish-bringer. Galdr-father. Graybeard. Deep hood. Thief of Odhroerir. Kinsman of Mimir. Lord of the Wild Hunt. Yule rider. Finder of the Runes. God of the Gautar. Ruler of Valhalla!"
[12:36]  Branwyn she turns lightly to the right, and again lays the her bloody hands on the post beside the image of Odin and calls out, "Hail Thor! Son of Odin and Jord. Father of Magni, Modi, and Thrud. Husband of Sif. Stepfather of Ullr. Ruler and owner of Mjollnir, the Girdle of Might, and Bilskirnir. Defender of Asgard and Midgard. Enemy and slayer of giants and troll-wives!"
[12:36]  Harvey: wassail Donnar
[12:37]  Branwyn and then to the left, the left hand for Tyr, she anoints the post with the sacrificial blood and calls out, "Hail Tyr! One-handed god. Feeder of the wolf. Battle god. Sword god. Oathbinder. Lawkeeper. Leader of the Thing. Truest and most steadfast of gods!"
[12:38]  Harvey: wassail Hangatyr
[12:38]  Branwyn she pours the rest of the blood from the horn onto the fire and picking up another horn, fills it with mead and turns to the crowd, holding the horn up, she steps onto the edge of the temple, holding the horn over the ground.
[12:39]  Branwyn: Hail Day! Hail Sons of Day! Hail Night and her Hail So daughter! Gaze on us with gracious eyes, award us victory, we who wait. *with that she pours some of the mead upon the ground*
[12:40]  Branwyn: Hail the Aesir! Hail Asynjur! Hail the all-giving Earth! Wisdom and fair speech grant to us who sit here, and healing hands while we live. *with the final hail of the rite she pours the rest of the mead into earth before the temple and looks to Galahad*
[12:41]  Branwyn: The temple is dedicated to the gods Odin, Thor and Tyr on this day as you have asked, would you speak now before the frithstead is closed?
[12:41]  Galahad whispers: His head was bowed, his mind lost in the ice and snow. With the sound of his name spoken across the vastness of the North, the cold of Axe Glacier, he looked up blinking and sought its source.
[12:42]  Branwyn her voice is low, barely above a whisper, but still it seems to move out into the crowd, her eyes seem to shine with a quiet light, even the milky blind one moving as she looks at Galahad.
[12:42]  Galahad: "No. Leave your words on this land. Thank you and may Odin's blessings accrue to you and your people to the end of time."
[12:42]  Galahad: He turned slowly, willing himself to the present.
[12:43]  Isolde looks to the Ubar
[12:43]  Branwyn with his words she turns and clapping her hands three times at the direction of the temple utters the words to close the sacred space, "May this rite strengthen the bond of frith between me and all wights present; seen and unseen... Stay those who would stay. Leave those who would leave. Harmless to me and mine! The doorway between the worlds closes now and the frithgard now dissolves. And so our rite has ended"
[12:43]  Galahad: The clapping did it, bringing him fully home.
[12:44]  Branwyn and then taking a deep breath, she turns again and walks to Galahad to beg his acceptance of her rite, for tho she was a woman of high caste, and accepted as a priestess of her lands, she was still a woman, and should he disapprove, she might readily enough find herself lost of her postion and rank, she took a deep calming breath and walked to him.
[12:44]  Galahad: He turned and smiled broadly. "Thank you all. NOw we will go to the great Plains Wagon of the people of my Companion. I turn to the Haruspex for the saying of the Omen."
[12:45]  Sylvia smiles widely clapping her hands together gently looking up at her companion
[12:45]  Branwyn: Ubar of Tyros, Man of the North, Kin of my Kin, I stand before you, tho priestess and Jarl's Woman and ask that you accept my work and my actions in your lands and have done honor to you and yours, *with that she bows her head respectfully*
[12:45]  Galahad: He then noticed the presence of the Priestess at his side and turned, placing a hand on her arm. His smile was deep and he squeezed her arm.
[12:46]  Galahad: He in turn bowed to her and said simply. "I accept."
[12:46]  Lucias leans round, arms folded over his chest to look at Kutai. Giving him a nod.
[12:46]  Branwyn lets out a deep breath, and for a moment her strong hands seem to shake as she is once again the old woman or perhaps in releif, "I thank yew Ubar"
[12:47]  Kutai walks forward towards Leandar "I heard Tuchuk brother an Omen has to be read, lead me to the altar"
[12:47]  Galahad: He watched her transform as the light of Odin dimmed and moved into the sky. His face showed some concern for her and for her people as her health clearly was wavering.
[12:48]  corin Breil holds the jeweled bowl with the bosk heart in his hands and rises to his toes to look over his masters shoulder smiling to the priestess
[12:48]  Galahad: "Come Wyn. Join us at the Great Wagon.
[12:48]  Lucias nods "Follow me."
[12:48]  Branwyn sees the concern in his eyes and pats him fondly, "I will live your physician saw to that."
[12:48]  Karma: smiles
[12:48]  Nicholas: smiles widely
[12:48]  Winter: ok OUCHHHHH
[12:49]  Galahad: I ask permission to enter your wagon."
[12:49]  Lucias stops at the top of the ramp. "The ways of the wagons are unknown to these people..."
[12:49]  Kutai enters the great wagon, much like the ones on the Southern plains, he feels the oaken floor and notices the sturdy build
[12:51]  Lucias looks down at Galahad "The haruspex will recquire a Verr to be brought for sacrifice."
[12:52]  Kutai looks around and see all the people who come together to celebrate the rebuild of the city "Leander has requisted me to read an Omen for this city, to see if some clearness can come in the darkness and invisibility of what will come"
[12:52]  Galahad he turned to corin. "Go to the farm, boy. Bring a fat verr."
[12:52]  corin: Yes, My Master.
[12:53]  Lucias backs up down the ramp, giving the haruspex his space.
[12:53]  Kutai: I need also a slave to catch the blood of the sacrifice verr, a slave with a bucket otherwise the blood will spoil the wood of this wagon"
[12:54]  Galaha: Bana. go to the Haruspex
[12:54]  Kutai thinks "its a waste of good verr blood for the women of the wagons make good sausages of it"
[12:55]  Branwyn looks down at her robes already covered in blood and thinks it is a waste of good blood and almost says something.
[12:55]  Galahad: His hands too still were covered in the drying blood of the bosk, splatters of it remaining on his robes
[12:56]  Kutai takes his quiva waiting for the verr to come
[12:56]  Spike he watched silently
[12:57]  julie: yes my Master
[12:58]  Kutai sees the kajira coming to help him with the ceremony, her task is just a practical one, no woman is allowed in the wagonpeople to fulfill a religious task, on the contrary, they are not even allowed to pray to the Open Sky. So the task of the girl will be very prozaic
[12:58]  Galahad: He moved aside as the boy arrieved
[12:59]  corin returns from the farm holding a rope. The other end is looped around the neck of the largest, fattest verr he'd raised. He makes clicking noices with his tongue to get the best to follow, but there's little challenge. Every animal on the farm trusts him, and the verr comes along stopping to nibble some grass when corin stops
[12:59]  corin speaks softly "I ask permission to enter your wagon.
[13:00]  Kutai eyes light up when the verr is brougth, he looks at his quiva and holds it in the ligth of the sun, to see if its razorsharp. Then he walks slowly to the animal and grabs it at its neck
[13:00]  Kutai: kajira bring the bucket and hold it under the head of the animal!
[13:01]  julie lifts the bucket and carries it to the animal, holding it steady under it's head
[13:01]  Lucias watches, a hand, relaxed, placed over his belt. As he waits, quietly for the omens.
[13:02]  Kutai bends the neck of the animal then aims his quiva after shoving the white hairs of the animal aside. Suddenly he plunches the knive deep in the throat of the verr, turning the neck so that the blood bursting out of it lands in the bucket held by the slave girl
[13:03]  julie stays still and quiet as the bucket fills
[13:03]  Kutai holds the shiffering and dying animal thigh so it can not run and splutter its blood over all te spectators
[13:04]  Kutai notices at the eyes of the verr, its dead now. He turns the animal at its back and takes his quiva again to open the belly
[13:04]  Godric stands in silence.. watching the ceremony... wishing he had his kaiila nearby...
[13:05]  Spike a faint grin inched on the corners of his lips as he watched
[13:05]  Kutai rips open the belly of the carcass and his hands glide in, searching the liver, he pulls out some other inner organs which he throws in the bucket
[13:06]  julie grasps the bucket tightly and tried to balance herself. her heart racing as she watches
[13:06]  Kutai: After a minute searching he feels the still warm liver and takes it out, his bloody hands and under arms bring the liver above his head so all people can see it
[13:08]  Marisabel smiles up at the red savage woman and gestures.
[13:08]  Agape follows the slave girl to the gathering of the people
[13:08]  Agape: Tal all
[13:08]  Winter: greetings mine
[13:08]  Agape: Osiyo
[13:08]  Nicholas: smiles down to her
[13:08]  Zalika watches him hold up the glistening organ high in the air
[13:08]  Nicholas: greetings dotty girl
[13:08]  Mikaela: greetings my Mistress, smiles to her
[13:08]  Kutai turns around and holds the liver for his face. He studies it deeply and let his mind make contact with the Open Sky, with the nature, with all the animals and other creatures living on the homestone planet
[13:08]  Mikaela: greetings my Masters smiles up to him
[13:09]  marley: Throws a shout from the back of the Crowd
[13:09]  Agape enters the place filled with many people and looks around not recognizing anyone
[13:09]  Nicholas: smiles down once more and then to Ana
[13:10]  Godric growls to himself, again put out as he hears all the chatter
[13:10]  Kutai sees the liver is fat, goodblooded, a signal of wealth, he feels the trees and fish of the island making connection to his mind and soul
[13:10]  Isolde eyes gleam with wild pride, keeping quiet during this ceremony of great importance.
[13:11]  Kutai closes his eyes and let the meditation go deeper in his being. After a minute he opens them again and starts to speak
[13:11]  Kutai: "the liver is fat, the new city will prosper, the fleet will catch many fish, for the Thassa is full with it.
[13:12]  Branwyn chuckles and smiles, "As long as none of those fish are wearing horned helms ah hope."
[13:13]  Mikaela: looks to her Mistress with her soft eyes, my Mistress your gown looks beautiful
[13:13]  Kutai: However this will not go for itself, the people must work hard, make ships of these big, wonderfull trees, make nets , go out and catch the harvest of the sea. The hammer of Thor who has a connection to the sea will protect the fishermen, but to work with the hammer needs strength and does not allow one sitting idle"
[13:13]  Willow chuckles at Branwyn's words
[13:14]  Kutai: so the Omen is a good one, but only for the strong
[13:14]  Branwyn nods thinking 'as it should be on gor'.
[13:15]  Zalika: "We of Tyros are strong," she murmurs to her sister. "This is a good omen, indeed."
[13:15]  Sylvia nods and nods again looking forward...
[13:15]  Godric smiles, satisfied, and pleased with the Omen..
[13:15]  Isolde looks to my sister and i nod silent in agreement
[13:15]  Kutai: "I end the omen reading, may this city and island prosper" saying this he throws the liver in the arms of the kajira "catch girl, i don't like eating liver, but maybe you can cook a meal from it for your master"
[13:16]  julie catches it with one hand, the bucket swaying just a little "yes Master"
[13:16]  Galahad: He smiled broadly, satisfied that the powers unseen to all yet pervasive will smile upon the Island and the people he loved.
[13:16]  Branwyn looks over to Harv and nods her head respectfully at the man who saved her life so many moons past.
[13:17]  Kutai steps of the wagon, his thirsty eyes looking for a bottle of paga
[13:17]  julie: turns to Him holding the bucket
[13:18]  Theodor: well most of gor seems to be here lady Twist
[13:18]  Galahad: "If there is no need for that verr blood, have it splashed on the docks."
[13:18]  Angeloscuro nods listening
[13:18]  Kutai: you keep it girl, it will rot on my journey to the South
[13:19]  corin moves towards bana and smiles, holding the large bowl with the bosks heart in it and whispers "May I have the liver, please? I will cook it with the bosk"
[13:19]  Harvey: catches the High Priestess's and nods smiling
[13:19]  Galahad: 'Thank you Haruspex of the Plains for the gift of your Omen. " he turned to the gathering. "NOW WE FEAST. SLAVES TO THE TABLES. "
