Omen Valley

Omen reading because of opening Turia

[09:54]  Hecate: Greetings Master
[09:54]  Aphris: Tal Hakimba
[09:54]  Kutai: Tal young lad, where is your aunt?
[09:54]  Hakimba: Tal Kutai Tal Lady Aphris
[09:54]  Hakimba: greetings kajira
[09:55]  Hakimba: well i think she will arrive soon
[09:55]  Kutai: its about time "he grumbles when he thinks that his sister is late again"
[09:56]  Hakimba: you know women always need some more time than men
[09:56]  Aphris looks angry at Hakimba
[09:56]  Kutai: yea
[09:57]  Kutai: i hope she does not forget the verr, i am not gonna pay that for her
[09:58]  Kutai walks restless around the altar, waiting for his sister, late as ever
[09:58]  Hecate: Greetings Mistress
[09:58]  Aphris: There she is
[09:59]  Sacha: tal why late i am just in time
[09:59]  Aphris: Tal Sacha, the men were becoming restless already
[09:59]  Hakimba grins
[10:00]  Kutai: ok
[10:00]  Kutai: I will take the lead now
[10:00]  Hecate moves to heel beside the Master..
[10:00]  Sacha Hotaling: well
[10:01]  Kutait: i hope you have a verr
[10:02]  Sacha Hotaling sure
[10:03]  Kutai: “The Lady Sacha, healer of the noble Kataii tribe and patroniser of the holy haruspices of the four tribes Tuchuks, Kataii, Paravaci and Kassar, has requested for an omen reading. She has noticed that the once demolished city of Turia, which lays in the plains where our bosk now freely roam, has risen from its ashes. She has seen that the huge protective walls, behind which the city vermin’s hide in their holes, has been build up again, and now block the free passage of the giant bosk herds. She hears the penetrating noises of citizens working on metal, working on stone, she hears all the noises such people who stand far from nature make and which disturb the peace or silence under the Open Sky.
[10:04]  Kutaituchik Kroitschov: She smells the smoke of the fires in the burgers homes, she smells the stench of their garbage which they throw over their walls on the beautiful plains, she smells the stinking drainage from the city sewers which spew the citizens excreta straight into the so far clean rivers of the Southern Gorean Plains. In short, the Lady Sacha notices a lot of things to worry about and there for asks the haruspices what the future will bring for the tribes.”
[10:04]  Sacha draws the verr behind her closer to the altar
[10:06]  Sacha: dear haruspex i took this verr with me to sacrifice it for the Omen it' is a young and clean animal
[10:06]  Kutai: “We are here now together because we are worried what future will bring. Our patroniser Lady Sacha wants an omen read. So be it, we will sacrifice Verr to satisfy the Open Sky and all the spirits beneath it, we will sacrifice this Verr for its liver will tell us, we hope, what the Open Sky clear us about the future. We will sacrifice the Verr also for its meat which we will eat because we people from the wagons, respect the Verr, and we respect nature, and we don’t like waste. No, we don’t like waste, we are wagonpeople and not citizens who throw all they dislike in the river or on the streets or on the fields. No, we don’t like waste because we are Goreans who love our world and don’t want to pollute it.
[10:06]  Hakimba pets Lynn's hair
[10:06]  Aphris: sssst
[10:07]  Hecate looks up at the Master fondly
[10:07]  Kutai: For that we use all the Verr offers us: its life to satisfy the Open Sky and the spirits of nature, its meat to satisfy the stomachs of the free, its entrails to satisfy the stomachs of our slaves, its bones to satisfy our need for tools and to satisfied the need of the female soothsayers” the haruspex stops a moment and chuckles “who have the need and futile desire to read in the future also”
[10:08]  Sacha nods to the Haruspex " i hope the Omen you will read will show a bright sky to the wagin people"
[10:08]  Kutai looks at the verr brought by the Lady Sacha of the Kataii “Bring forward the sacrifice animal” he looks around for a kajara “and I need a kajira with a bucket to catch the blood when I kill this beast by slicing its throat with a quiva” He smiles softly “as said we nomads don’t like waste and from this blood good sausages are made”
[10:09]  Hecate moves forward taking up a bucket and holding it under the verr's neck.. catching the blood
[10:09]  Sacha draws the animal which feels that something is coming up it doesnt like to the haruspex
[10:10]  Hecate watches the Master carefully, taking her cues from him
[10:10]  Kutai sees how the animal is brought, he sees that it senses something terrible will happen, he sees that the animal struggles. He walks to the cattle and grabs it in the fur of the neck, with his powerful hand he immobilizes the slaughter animal. Then he takes a shark ritual quiva from its sheath and aims it at the neck veins of the poor creature. He bends the neck further aside, making sure the animal is helpless like a kajira in bondage, then he plunges the point of the sharp dagger in the exposed vein, making a small but deep cut from which the fresh warm blood of the animal now shoots into the bucket being held by the slave girl.
[10:11]  Sacha shivers
[10:12]  Hecate watches as the Master punctures the animal and smells the rich metalic taint to the hot blood and watches as it drains from the verr.. feeling the weight in the bucket grow heavier with each passing moment
[10:12]  Kutai: With cold eyes he sees how the blood, and there with the life flows out of the Verr, its eyes breaking, the last breath being sighted out. He drops the beast after he notices the last stream of blood has flown out of the neck into the metal bucket “brings the bucket to the storage wagon, slut, harta!”
[10:13]  Aphris looks at the stream of blood
[10:13]  Hecate bows her head and says in a hushed tone.."yes Master.. right away".. moving quickly away, but taking delicate steps so she does not spill a drop of the animals blood..
[10:14]  Sacha looks with little sadness at the carcasse of the poor animal
[10:14]  Kutai turns the dead animal at its back and makes the belly clear. Again he takes the ritual quiva and makes a long cut from the neck till the anus, opening the belly of the beast. He pulls up his sleeves, making his arms free of textile and spreads the 2 sides of the belly skin, which causes entrails and inner organs fall out in the grass and sand of the plains, he looks sharp at a kajira as a silent order to takes this remnants and the rest of the meat to the storage wagon later to be fabricated into food for the tribes. He naked pulses dive in the body of the dead animal and he spreads the open wound more, pulling out the organs which are blocking his way to the liver. After a minute silent working he reaches the livery organ, which he pulls out and lays it, still pulsating, on the monolithic altar before him.
[10:14]  Sacha: well i died for a needful purpose
[10:15]  Aphris: bloody as always Kutai, can't you do some vuo reading?
[10:16]  Kutai sees the liver at the altar, then he decides, pure for influencing the public present to take the liver back in his hands. He holds it high above his head, making sure no drops of blood smudge his clothes and with flaming eyes he looks at the people gathered around him. His sharp raven eyes seek the ones of the present nobles, the Lady Sacha who sponsors the omen reading
[10:16]  Hecate returns and uses another bucket to gather the other organs from the animal as she sees the Masters look and works quietly beside him to collect them all and then moves off once again to the storage wagon
[10:17]  Kutai: His keen eyes rest a little longer at the full breasts of a pretty slave girl, he shakes the though of them from his mind, because he wants to concentrate at the reading, he shakes his thoughs off, but not after making a mental notice in his mind to take her with him for his bathing after the ceremony.
His eyes then go again over the people and with a solemnly voice he announce “the Verr has given its life and blood for the people of the plains, now I, the haruspex of the Tuchuks, have taken its liver too, to give us insight in what will come”.
[10:18]  Sacha waits with interest
[10:18]  Aphris: concentrate at the liver old man
[10:18]  Hakimba looks interested
[10:18]  Kutai now starts for a prayer, spoken out into the open, so the public knows he is a holy man which has deep contact with the Open Sky. He starts with a voice full of played emotion “Holy Sky, father who sees over all of us here together on the open plains, father of all of us which live in the open, not hiding for your eyes under stone roofs, father of all creatures which roam freely and in liberty over the wide prairies, father and keeper of all holy bosks which feed us, which clothes us, which is our life blood. Father of all here around us, give me wisdom to read this liver, given by your son, the brave Verr, who sacrificed his life, blood and liver for us, the wagonpeople, so we might get contact with you oooh Open Sky.
[10:19]  Sacha feels full with aw at the ceremony
[10:20]  Aphris is indifferent because she is of the scribes, she seees through the hocus pocus of the priest
[10:20]  Kutai continuous the prayer to the heaven “Open Sky, give us wisdom and strength, and make the connection to the spirits of nature and give through them, through the birds, through the earth, through the grass, the food of bosks, some insight what will come on our path, what will come on the path of the bosks. What will this rebuild city bring to the people of the wagens, what will this walled fortress bring to the people of the wily Tuchuks, what will bring these stones to the people of the dark skinned Kataii, what will bring this hole in which hide cowardly vermin’s bring to the people of the greedy Paravaci, and what will these by men gathered rocks bring to the people of the bloody Kassars. Give us strength and wisdom, so we know what to do, burn it or accept it.
[10:20]  Hecate watches with reverance in her eyes for the Master Haruspex... shivering a bit at his words
[10:21]  Sacha nods
[10:22]  Kutai lays the liver back at the altar and studies it with a face of a Farizeer, of a holy man who has all wisdom. He continuous the prayer to the skies “Open Sky give me a spiritual connection to the plants, to the grass which feed the holy bosks, but for all, give me a connection to the trees, to the gigantic Tur tree, dominating this city before us, let me make the connection and knowledge and experience of this tree which was there before the city when the plains were without stone walls, which has seen every love making , every killing, every intrigue of this city, let me consult the Tur tree, who was once for the wagons, now for the citizens, who have more need for it since its is their own link to the secret spirits of nature, to the Djinni’s which are the contact between the surface of the planet Gor and the Open Sky” He now goes into a trance created by his own words and by his concentration on the nature.
[10:24]  Sacha waits in silence
[10:25]  Kutai is in deep meditation trance, his fingers absentmindedly playing with the golden coins, given him by rich Turian merchants for a positive omen. His mind gets one with the Tur tree in the city nearby, he feels the wood and the hardness and immobility of the redwood, His eyes subconscious go again over the breasts of the voluptuous wench and he gets an impression in a part of his body how it is to be as hard, as wooden as strong as the millennia old tree which grew so long on the plains. He then gets the insight, he smiles internally since his omen will not be in conflict with the coins given to him by the caste brothers of Saphrar the old enemy of his tribe the Tuchuks. He opens his eyes and begins to speak.
[10:27]  Kutai: “The omen has been read, the Open Sky has spoken” He drops a minute of silence to get more effect at the public, then he thunders “the Open Sky and the Tur tree say that the peoples in cities are a PEST and a SHAME for the surface and the nature of the planet Gor, however they are for the wagonpeople a mirror, how not to be” he smiles “their presence makes us stronger, because it strengthens our believe in our selfs, because we see what we are not. And it gives us a common enemy which unites the four tribes of the Kataii, Kassar, Paravaci and Tuchuks, and does not let us get lost in intertribal wars and lets us bleed dead under the stabs of our own quiva’s. So my omen is that the wagonpeople will flourish under the presence of this city”
[10:28]  Sacha sighs as she hears the word "flourish"
[10:29]  Aphris smiles at the positive omen of the haruspex
[10:29]  Sacha: but also she hears the words about the citizens of the city
[10:29]  Kutai goes further with the omen “the city of Turia must be tolerated, we can trade with them,, and do our love wars again, to test the strength with the red castes of the city. Since they have still the Tur tree they have not totally lost the connection with the Open Sky, the tree unites us, because of trees our wagons are build, and as long as the Turians live more under the shade of the tree then they live under the brick roofs of their stones hide-outs they are not lost and are a worthy foe.” So he ends the omen reading.
[10:30]  Sacha: so it is not to fear that we will be engaged in war ?
[10:31]  Kutai: Did I say that?
[10:31]  Kutai: war always will be
[10:31]  Sacha: no you didnt so i feel released
[10:32]  Kutai: only without the city, it will be civil war
[10:32]  Sacha: sure i was thinking about war against the city of Turia
[10:32]  Aphris looks at Hakima "start practising for the love wars, lad"
[10:33]  Kutai: he already has his first scar Aphris, don't worry about Hakimba
[10:33]  Hakimba: sure the time is come for me
[10:35]  Sacha Hotaling smiles to the youg scout
[10:35]  Kutai: well, the reading has drained me, i will retreat in my wagon (rl calls))
[10:35]  Kutai: i wish you well, and make a feast of the verr
[10:35]  Hecate: well wishes Master
[10:36]  Aphris: be well Kutai
